About Jocelyn

Jocelyn is a senior at the University of Alabama studying Telecommunications and Film and Political Science . Jocelyn is pursuing a career in broadcasting as a producer.
While at the University of Alabama, Jocelyn has experience in a newsroom. As a junior, she began interning at WVUA-23, a commercial station in Tuscaloosa. After spending a semester as an editor, Jocelyn began producer training and is currently producing the 5 o'clock/6 o'clock news on Wednesdays and Fridays and occasionally 10 o'clock news on Sundays.
Jocelyn's love for the news started at a very young age. Growing up in Philadelphia the news was always something that everyone paid attention to and was on every television in the house. Her cousin Chris is her biggest influence, since he attended school for sports broadcasting. Upon graduating he spent several years following the Sixers as their beat reporter. Jocelyn loves being able to write stories that inform people as to what is going on around them while also being a team player.
Jocelyn has always been heavily involved within the community. While at UA, she was a Volunteer for Tuscaloosa One Place, Girl Scouts of Tuscaloosa, and Habitat for Humanity. She was also a part of, Sigma Delta Tau Sorority, UA Recruitment Team, and Sigma Rho Chi.
